Information for Applying Students

Applicants to the MA and ML programs are required to register for an online Latin entrance exam by emailing Dr. Velvet Yates, Distance Learning Coordinator, no later than Friday, February 10, 2012. MA and ML Applicants will then be provided instructions for taking the Latin entrance exam, which is to be given on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Applicants to the PhD program are required to complete an on-campus visit during the week of March 12-16, 2012.

Upon admission into the distance learning program, entering students are required to attend the Summer Latin Institute, held at the University of Florida in Gainesville, for ten days in early July.

To ensure full consideration, applications and all supporting materials should be received no later than March 16, 2012 (see application checklist below).
