GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This course is ideal for all those who wish to learn or improve their knowledge of Modern Greek language and culture. A previous knowledge of Greek is not required and all nationalities are welcome.
The course is designed to develop all language skills: Reading, writing, conversation, grammatical instruction and discussion on selected topics of Greek culture.

CLASS EXPECTATION
Class attendance is mandatory. Student's failure to attend and participate actively will result in a lowering of grades.

It is essential that will read the textbook concurrently and complete all exercises in the workbook.

Friday will be a due day for all written work (workbook) and class discussion. Monday will be a special day for occasional quizes. Students will give the quizes in the class only on Mondays and they can miss only two of them in the semester.

EVALUATION
There will be workbook home exercises, weekly quizes, midLerm and final exam.

Class participation 10%

Midterm 25%
Final 25%

A 90 and up
B+ 87-89
B 80-86
C+ 77-79
C 70-76
